Let’s have fun and Move!
Students will be inspired by learning the fun of moving through ballet and modern to different types of music.
Students will learn how to count with music and interpret music through movement.
No previous dance experience required.
Students must wear comfortable clothes to move in and can bring dance shoes if they have them or gym shoes but we will be barefoot at times on a dance floor.
Lilou Altman started her dance journey at a very young age in 1974 with a strong foundation of Ballet (Balanchine) and Modern (Graham).
She has had the honor to perform with many companies and choreographers as Baltimore Ballet, Naked Feet, Maryland Ballet, Jeannie-Pierre Bonnefous, Merce Cunningham, and Janet Ward Murray.
In 1993, Lilou went from a teaching assistant to holding her own classes and performances, working with local schools over the years like the the Glyndon school of Ballet, Ruxton Park Country school, Druid Theater in Damascus, Maryland.
Her current and favorite home base is DoodleHATCH Interactive Art Museum.
